Painting & Decorating

Specialising in domestic properties and projects, this can be anything from simply re freshen of walls, ceilings and woodwork, to full decoration of new build properties, to your specification. We use high quality trade paints and materials, and have won national awards for several projects completed locally over the last few years. Wallpaper hanging, airless spraying for a flawless finish and traditional methods such as brush and roller are used.

Commercial Services

Completing large scale commercial projects, notably pubs, clubs and restaurants throughout county Durham,  we have also gained a reputation for high standard workmanship. We worked closely with architects, interior designers and the main clients, to deliver projects to timescale, cost and to a standard that we are proud to showcase to any visitor, or customer.

Contract Work

Contract work such as maintenance projects, regular work to places such as office blocks, doctors surgery's, staircases to apartments, holiday lets etc. keeping high traffic areas looking just as they should. We work with letting agents, estate management, property developers and local authorities for regular contract works.

Procraft Decor

Chris Nuttall, the owner/director of the Procraft Decor, has decorating in his blood. He followed his father into the trade in the early 2000s. Working his way through a 4 year apprenticeship, gaining all relevant qualifications. working alongside highly skilled and experienced  decorators, he learned his trade. subsequent years since has studied and gained extra qualifications within the painting and decorating world, as its changed and evolved.

Setting up business on his own in 2019, Procraft decor has established itself in the area, and has a reputation for quality workmanship, professionalism, trustworthiness, and reliability.

Our Equipment & Products

Over the last few years, we have invested in up to date equipment, such as dustless sanding and air scrubbing filters. A great decorating finish is all in the preparation. Taking the time to get that right comes down to choice of products, eye for detail, and equipment. Any dust, and particles in the air are kept to a minimum, beneficial to yourself as the customer, us carrying out the work and the environment. Other equipment such as airless spraying, along with more traditional methods, but using some of best rollers, and brushes on the market today.

Trade products are always used in any project. Products we trust are correct, to suit the needs of the project, products we know will give a quality, long lasting finish. We offer a full decorating service, not only do we do domestic properties, as well as commercial projects such as shops, pubs and restaurants, contract works and long term projects. We aim to transform any space. 

Exterior Projects & Upcycling

During summer months, exterior projects are popular within our working area. We can restore and repair Georgian and Victorian sash windows, keeping the character of the property intact, replacing any glass, replacing and treating any rotten wood with hardwood, we use modern paints, resin fillers and techniques.
Lately we have opened another part of the business, offering furniture upcycling. which also has its benefits. if you have a item of furniture you love, but in need of modernising, then we can give it a new lease of life. customised to any colour, finish and design. this can be for example a sideboard, wardrobe or dressing table. Not to mention transforming kitchen units and fitted wardrobes.
